Rundwanderweg des Naturpark Südeifel Nr. 49 - Mettendorf-Hüttingen bei Lahr

On this tour, you hike through the valleys of the Alsbach and Lahrer Bach streams and walk around the ridge formed by Fronenberg, Aspel and Frankenberg.

Hiking trail 49 offers pure variety - the route alternates between pleasant villages and beautiful landscapes. The latter offers numerous charming views over the heights, but also beautiful sections through idyllic valleys such as the Alsbach valley or along the Lahr stream.

Atmospheric rest stops, such as at the water treading pool in Mettendorf or at Stationenberg in Lahr, invite you to take a well-earned break. You should bring a bit of stamina with you for this circular route.

There are places to stop for refreshments in Mettendorf, including the Kickert restaurant. A visit to the Ofen- und Eisenmuseum with museum café in Hüttingen is also worthwhile as a stopover.
