Hop on your bike and dive into the adventure—at the car-free “Südeifeltour” Bike Sunday!
Once a year, the roads belong entirely to cyclists, inline skaters, and hikers—the Südeifeltour offers a unique way to experience the enchanting cultural landscape of the Enz Valley: car-free, close to nature, and packed with fun and entertainment!
Spanning nearly 30 kilometers, the “Südeifeltour” winds through one of the Eifel’s most beautiful regions—the Enz Valley from Arzfeld via Zweifelscheid, Neuerburg, Sinspelt, and Mettendorf all the way to Enzen. Whether you’re out for a sporty ride or a leisurely family outing—there’s a pace for everyone here.
Between Arzfeld and Neuerburg, the route runs idyllically along the former railway embankment of the Enz Cycle Path—with special highlights like the impressive tunnel complexes. From Neuerburg on, it’s “clear the road!” because car traffic stays off the path all the way to Enzen.
And it’s not just nature that has a lot to offer: in the six participating communities, colorful activity stations await with music, children’s entertainment, and plenty of good cheer. Culinary delights of all kinds—from savory to sweet—ensure that no wish goes unfulfilled.
The diversity, the landscape, and the special sense of community are what make the “Südeifeltour” so special year after year. The municipalities of Arzfeld, Bitburger Land, and Südeifel, along with many dedicated clubs and hosts, look forward to welcoming numerous guests!
So: put on your helmet, grab your family and friends, and let’s go!
