Directions and Parking

The Teufelsschlucht, the Teufelsschlucht Nature Park Center, and the Teufelsschlucht Dinosaur Park are located in the Southern Eifel, near the German-Luxembourg border:

  • 40 kilometers from Luxembourg City
  • 29 km from Trier
  • 20 km from Bitburg
  • 7 km from Echternach
  • 5 km from Irrel.

Getting there by public transportation:

  • Train: The nearest long-distance train stations are Trier and Bitburg-Erdorf. Train schedules are available here: bahn.de and in the DB Navigator app
  • Bus: During the day, buses operated by the VRT (Verkehrsverbund Region Trier) run to Ernzen every hour. You can find the current schedules using the VRT timetable information on this page or in the VRT Fahrplan app. The nearest stop in Ernzen is 'Kirche'; in the future, there will be a dedicated stop for the Teufelsschlucht and the Dinopark.

Traveling by car:

Coming from Trier / Bitburg or Echternach/Lux., follow the signs to Ernzen and the tourist
signs (white on brown):- "Teufelsschlucht" (with a dinosaur pictogram)
- "Naturparkzentrum (or Naturerkundungsstation) Teufelsschlucht"

 

Parking:

Main parking lot for approx. 400 vehicles.

IMPORTANT: Please follow the signs for "Parkplatz Teufelsschlucht"! Google Maps or your GPS may direct you to the park entrance, where there are only bus parking spaces and disabled parking spaces.

A forest path leads directly from the main parking lot to the entrance of the Dinosaur Park and the Teufelsschlucht hiking area.

Parking fees:

  • 1 day (6:00 AM–12:00 AM): €3.00 per day
  • Annual pass for day visitors (without overnight stay): €12.00 (valid for 1 year from date of booking)
  • Overnight stay in a motorhome (12:00 AM–6:00 AM): €10.00

   Scan & Pay before exiting (QR code)
At the payment machine before exiting (with card)
Using the EasyPark or Parkster parking apps: available from mid/late April
Online up to 48 hours after exiting via www.arivo.info/teufelsschlucht
