Klettersteig Neuerburg
Neuerburg
Grand Opening from March 29!
Neuerburg in the narrow valley of the Enz, surrounded by slate rocks, is predestined for a climbing experience.
The Neuerburg via ferrata takes a completely unique approach: The circular route utilizes the existing hiking trail infrastructure and connects sections of the premium path “Neuer-Burg-Weg” with climbing passages at six selected rock formations, offering spectacular views of the city.
The special feature: These passages can also be bypassed, allowing the concept to appeal to both traditional hikers and climbing enthusiasts, who can share the route together. It is therefore also suitable for families with children.
The starting and ending point of the via ferrata is the newly designed marketplace in Neuerburg. Climbing sections run by the Beilsturm, the city coat of arms, the former plague cemetery, the former railway tunnel, at the waterfalls of the Enz with the historic mills, and, of course, at the castle as a crowning conclusion.
Climbers and hikers can then refuel at the local establishments and wind down the experience.
